Say Deferred Success, not to say failure

Just got this from Yahoo! News on "Deferred Success" is new term for failure?

I am sure William Strunk, E.B. White's former professor at Cornell University, would be screaming out of his grave saying, "Rule 17: Omit needless words! Omit needless words! Omit needless words!" We would be wasting words if we say, "deferred success" when we can just say "failure."

Do not say "brainstorming" which should be replaced by "thought shower." Oh, pleez.

"Brainstorming" is one of those awful corporate-speak phrases I try to avoid. "Touch base" and "get on the same page" are two other ones that make me cringe.
