Trying not to be that "homer" guy but dosent pizza hut park look almost exactly like the National Sports Center in Blaine??? Wouldnt you rather have it be a little bit colder then have it be super hot texas weather? Personally i am not a big fan of heat stroke

I'll bet the players from Texas would say they're not a big fan of hypothermia which some players on Thursday actually experienced.

The heat will not be as bad as people think. It will cause a few problems for Northern teams since they will see more heat then they have seen that season. The problem is that you could have an 85-90 degree day which really benefits some teams that are used to that heat. I doubt it would use Pizza Hut Park since that will host a spring football game, Dallas Burn soccer, and probably a few other events. Using the soccer fields by Richland College would be nice. Then W/R could be the stadium. This would be similar to Dallas Cup. There are also the UTD fields. Cost will be an issue. I used to know the cost to rent W/R and it was steep. The other problem is the lack of lacrosse in the Richardson area. The Southlake area would be better. I also really like using Greenhill. That used to be a practice site for the World Cup. Lots of fields and a stadium. Most HS locations will not allow games during school.

My guess would be none of those fields mentioned are correct.

Wasn't the cold in Blaine record- or almost-record-cold? If so, wouldn't the proper comparison be to record heat in Dallas, which is 103 for the month of May?

You can always put more layers of clothes on. You can only take off so many before I eject you for flagrant misconduct!

For me, I'd rather compete when there's a high of 70 instead of a high of 84.

I should have added that I'm from Dallas and a little bit of a homer...

And how much would I have to undress... wait that was a disturbing thought

I have played in 100+ weather in Dallas before and I have played in freezing cold of the Midwest (Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota).

I perfer playing in heat. Not being able to feel your stick makes it hard to cradle.

The Exec is still looking at the bids. They are doing a site visit next week for one of the bids. I would expect an announcement in the next few weeks, before Turkey day i would hope, so that everyone in the planning positions can get to work.

I know we and US Lacrosse are eager to get this resolved for marketing, planning and other reasons.

thanks for your patience.

Dallas would be great! Honestly, the heat really isn't that bad; North Texas (as a region) usually doesn't get nasty until say July or August. While there are some rather warm days in May, it is usually bearable for any level of competition.

Plus, Blaine was just so cold. If I remember correctly I think we saw snow on one of the evenings there.
