Fall Meeting
Justin:
It will most likely be in Columbia again. Commissioner Hawkins is working on securing a meeting sight for us as well as a date. We should have something out soon.

new teams
are there any deadlines for new teams applying for membership in the grlc? i am not familiar with the application process and assume that membership of new teams will be considered at the fall meeting. what does a prospective new team need to do prior to the meeting?

There is an application process which is handled by the Commissioner. Contact Commissioner Hawkins directly at mizzoulax@aol.com for details.

Our team (Nebraska) has talked about moving up becuase we are an A team just playing a B schedual and cannot make the playoffs but some people on the team for some reason dont want to so not sure if we will or not

i think you should...it really gives you something to play for during the season, and the jump will have to be made eventually if you want to really be competitive (not saying that division B isn't competitive) since you can't make playoffs where your at now. Talk about it with your team, but in the long run I think its beneficial to try to make the jump as soon as possible so you have more time to adjust while there are fewer teams in A.

ya ive been trying hard to get them to make the jump cause when you cant make the playoffs you dont really care what happens... and then people get drunk before the games

Why should he edit the post if that's actually what his teammates do? What's wrong with Dan stating his frustration about his teammates not caring how they play?

1. You don't air your family business out in public.
2. It does not reflect well on his program or our league.
3. It does not make me comfortable with them coming up to A if that is the culture of the team.
I'm the new guy so I have nothing else to say about the subject.

It was actually better this past year, but years before that is actually what they had done, but if we actually having something to play for like making the playoffs then stupid things like that wouldnt happen. We also are actually getting people who have played lacrosse in high school now that are serious about playing so that helps
