Is it college football season yet?!?

Same guy who made all those videos I linked before just came out with his Matt Roth tribute one he made for Roth's family for his draft party.

Got to love "Chop Suey".

Also, about the "Two Words: Iowa Hawkeye Pride". He is playing up the dumb football player thing (although I believe he isn't the brightest person alive either) for this ESPN Sunday Countdown piece by Kenny Mayne they did about Iowa being the last school to beat Ben Rothlisberger during his little undefeated stretch last year ( http://www.scothawk.com/flvswfpublish/n ... berger.swf ).

I know we got a little carried away in the other thread about college football so here is our official college football thread until the season starts up.

My opinion is that it will be USC vs. (any of about 5 teams) in the Rose Bowl.

I hope Iowa is one of those teams although my prediction for Iowa is a 9-2 record with a loss in the Horseshoe against Ohio State and a loss either at Purdue or at home against Michigan. Purdue could be a sleeper in winning the Big Ten, don't have OSU or Michigan on their schedule (how nice, although Iowa gets the same thing the next 2 years) and get Iowa at home. Even if they were to win all their games (don't see it happening, it's Joe Tiller and Purdue, they will lose), I don't see them in the National Title game unless they are the only team or one of two teams undefeated. If there are three teams, they won't go due to lack of schedule.

I see the Big Ten being won by either Iowa, Michigan or Purdue. Ohio State will be up there but just don't see them winning it. Ginn is a gift from god but I don't like Smith at QB and I could see them trying too many things with Ginn and losing a game or two. Michigan is stacked returning their whole team except WR (then again it is Michigan so they always have WRs) including Henne and Hart plus they got another stud freshmen RB who could push for some playing time.

That's my look at the Big Ten. What else is going on in the world of college football?

Here is a pretty cool map. Didn't feel like posting it as an image as it is pretty big.

The big question on everyones' minds is, Will the Johnnies continue their tradition of football dominance in St. Johns, MN??
They have a coach on par with John Wooden - great program!
