I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together. See how they run like pigs from a gun, see how they fly. I'm crying. Sitting on a cornflake, waiting for the van to come. ... I am the eggman, they are the eggmen. I am the walrus, goo goo g'joob ... the eggman, they are the eggmen. I am the walrus, goo goo g'joob.
One question, what does CTL stand for?

there is also a men's box league (probably pick up) starting next Thursday night at 8:00 in the Klein area. Some roller hcokey rick at Stuenbner Airline and Louetta on the Northside. Ten bucks to play/per game. Not sure of any other details.

Uh, I'm starting to get a little nervous about GB's summer league. Has anyone heard anything?

GB Summer League
I talked to KT this weekend and from what I understood it started tonight(Monday 06/06)? Honestly I left confused.

Lets stay focused here on Houston Summer League. If you would like to discuss 'other' topics that pertain to Houston Area lacrosse, then start a new thread. Thanks.

I joined both the gblax and texlax leagues since they don't interfere with one another. Here are my thoughts:
I'm not really big on the fact the gb is letting 12 and 13 year olds play with college and club guys. While the kids were decent it's a whole different level of play, and they are slowing the game down. I wish they hadn't just grouped kids about to be freshmen, and the younger high schools in with the college and club men. The texlax league at UH set the age to 17 and up so the level of play is pretty much on par. texlax looked first class with three refs in uniform calling the game and time keepers rather than the teenager that gb had calling the game and no game clocks to be found. Also no painted field at johnston, not even a crease! What's up with that? texlax is definitely the better organized game they even supplied numbered uniforms and cold water for the teams, something gb didn't think of doing. There were similar numbers of people at both leagues. I heard gb say there would be more people next time because Strake Jesuit and Episcopal would have teams out there.
One thing I did hate at gb's league and this isn't really against the league but it is sort of against them or at least one of their employees. Tintle was out there starting at attack and yelling at little kids whenever he didn't get the ball or they didn't see him open. Don't get me wrong, I like KT and he's got game especially for his age, but come one let the PAYING CUSTOMERS PLAY before you hog the line up. That's more of an personal observation than a complaint though.
So I'd have to say texlax is a lot more organized based of the one night of both leagues. They had the 3 real refs per game, timed penalties, uniforms, medical trainers, and I can't believe I'm praising this but a LINED FIELD! The gb league seems like they will have more people if the two teams from Strake and Episcopal show up, but in way that just means texlax will give everyone more playing time. Since both were priced the nearly the same, I’m not really sure what my money was going towards for gb since texlax offered so much more. Don’t get me wrong I had fun tonight a gb’s league, but what texlax offers is just a whole different class league.
