I can say honestly the only thing about the Lou I'll miss is the free beer on the tour at the Anheuser-Busch factory. The facilities need to be lit and we need more REAL grass fields. Bravo for finding a more suitable location, even if it is a bit north. IMO May in St Lou can be just as nasty as May in Minnesota, that freezing rain that wants to be snow in St Lou is getting old.

are they going to cut the grass to lacrosse lengths in MN? i the st.louis fields were always cut to soccer lengths and the grass fields played verrrry slow.

1. Bad weather is possible most anywhere nowadays.
2. We've explained the importance of close cut grass, and as Dan pointed out, they did listen to us last year on that request, and I'd expect they would listen again.
3. Did someone over 21 say beer tour/tasting?
Try http://www.leinie.com/home.asp They suggest reservations for a group tour.

I highly endorse Leinenkugel. Big fan of the Berry Weiss even though it is only seasonly. One of the bars in Iowa City use to have it on tap which was sort of rare for IC but it's some good stuff.

I have a few players from that area, and they can only say great things about the fields... and the breweries mentioned.

I gotta shout out to Schells. My parents used to buy it for like $3 a case when they were in college. Well I now pay a lot more. I think my friends and I might be going there this weekend.
Oh yeah the Berry Weiss is good if you want a lot of sugar in your beer. I hate that stuff.

Will teams be staying in the residence hall?
Also, will the championship game be played in the Outdoor Stadium? If so, I suggest bleachers are brought in and placed on the track. Otherwise, the fans will be too far back because of the 9 line track.

The residence hall may be an option for teams looking for a cost-saving measure, but that's not finalized yet. Depends on space available and some other factors.
Unfortunately, we can't have bleachers on the track. I agree it would nice to be closer to the field, but bringing in bleachers for that many people would be expensive, would look bad on TV, and would probably not be allowed by the facility anyway (for fear of damaging the track).

Rob Gaff,
When the Gophers come to Eau Claire for a little AB play, we'd be more than happy to give you the Liene's tour. Our goalie is an employee there and the tour is an educational way to start the weekend.
Even though I am going to school in WI, I have to stay honest to MN and say Schmits. (not schlitz)

Honey Weiss
Matt,
What bar is that they serve the Honey Weiss in Iowa City? It's the Billiards isn't it? That stuff is great. The bars there usually all run together, but I'm a big fan of Iowa City. I go up there every year for homecoming.
