For this season its probably too late, but what would it take for LSA teams to be able to publish articles about team performance, game outcomes, and general news stories?
I've seen that many teams (CSU, Michigan, Lindenwood) have had numerous articles posted on the USLIA website. Despite the LSA's performance this year in the national spotlight, having teams promote themselves in such a manner would be a great way for the LSA to get thier news to a national audience, and would be a great way (potentially) for team's to help influence national rankings. In a close game, scores alone can only go so far, re: UNH vs. TAMU and UNH vs. TTU.
What would it take? For us to be looked at as a respectable Conference we need to come up to par with the rest of them, organizationally, publically, and sadly in regard to performance.

A journalism major on your team to write an un-biased game report that looks like the ones that are up on the site (press release form).
It's that easy. Back when I was at Iowa, even when were bad (still are), we still got some stories up here because myself or our Coach at the time wrote a nice write up. Sonny won't post everything will try his best to get some stuff up.

bste_lax has a good idea. I think a lot of it to reflects on the organization of the teams and the league. I refer you to this link that hopefully all memebers of LSA teams knows exists. http://www.lonestaralliance.org/
If you notice the last time an article was written about anything it was about SMU in the 02-03 season. Also the Allstar databases have not been updated since that year either. Looking at these things I think one could possibly see my point. I think it boils down to how bad do the teams and the conference want it. These may be little things but it reflects on the conference, and it trickles down from conference organization to team organization. It boils down into taking pride in what you play for and who you represent. Benji, finding some one on your team that would be willing to write articles for your team would be a step in the right direction. Obviously someone whether it be any administrator or a team need to set a new standard in the LSA. Because it looks as though this year not many have.
This is not to say that effort has not been put forth but the LSA definately has some things to think about in the off season. I know all this is easier said than done, but if people care enough, then things will move from talk to action. Remember as in all sports most of the time it comes down to how well you do the little things, on and off the field. Benji I encourage you to find some who will do some write ups on your team, or do them yourself. Sometimes you just can't rely on other and you just have to take your own action.
This is a good topic for this conference, because maybe it will help promote your conference, team, and perhaps encourage the teams to step it up outside of the conference. It may motive a team to step it up in an out of conference game next time if a write up of any embarassing loss exists beyond the LSA message board forum, and ends up in a big bold link on the USLIA home page. Take the step Benji, it's good to hear someone in your conference is concerned about this matter.

Tx and the LSA have had four articles (which I remember) in Inside Lacrosse and Lax Magazine (one NCCA article and the rest w/ MDIA ties). This is the most coverage in print that they have had since the USLIA's inception.

Another thing is to make sure that your school newspaper knows all about you so that they can write stories too. Than you can link those to Sonny and get the word out that way.
Always on point . . .
