Who to watch?

The 2013 tournament returns to Greenville, SC this May.

Who to watch?

Postby WaterBoy on Mon Apr 18, 2005 11:35 pm

Ok, so just to test the water...

If you were at nationals and sitting next to someone who knew nothing about the league (a new spectator) which players would you tell them to watch?

In short- who are going to be the big names to look for at nationals- somewhat similar to AA picks, but limited to players on teams at the big dance.

Thoughts?

Here are the top 4 players to watch from the top 4 teams:

CSU-Pat Bird-M, Tim Farquar-M, Nick Harper-A, Pete Jochick-G

Sonoma-Brian Johnson-M, Jon Wiley-M, J.D. Hannah-FO, Ben Canis-D

BYU-Mark Tshag-M, Walter Bateman-M, Mark Davis-A, Cam Archibald-D

UCSB-Will Patton-M, Ryan Brittain-G, Damon Conklin-LSM, Luke Wilson-A

These players will be the best and most impressive to watch as all can take over games.

Watch out for Michigans defense. They are something special and a great group of defenders, I would say that they will turn some heads at the tourney. While I'll agree that Binge is probably the best player in our league Michigan didn't allow him a single point in their conference game a few weeks ago and as I can remember he only had a few forced shots. Both are worth watching though and rumors have it that this may be the last time you'll see Binge play because he's apparently hanging it up after the season's over, thats a shame. Good luck to both teams.
