Michigan State used shamrock gloves for 2 years (mostly because of the cost). We had one pair that fell apart immediately, but the others worked out well. The glove provided good protection.

Unfortunately, Shamrock hasn't had much innovation or diversity in their sticks. I used a "Ripper" to warm up goalies, but that was about what it was good for.

Actually 3 years back now we ordered some shamrock gloves for our team...and they were all so small and so stiff that I never even gave them a real try, and just went off and got a pair of Warrior RPM pros....you know, back before they got all shinny and wierd looking. I know shamrock still makes some wood longpoles that a few guys on our team will use from time to time.....

You ever been hit by a wood stick? It really hurts

My first head that I used was "The Rock" from Shamrock and man was that thing worthless. Also, my Shamrock gloves fell apart after one season, so I bought some Brine Gel something-or-others on clearance and they're still good. The only thing I like from Shamrock are the defenseman elbow pads. They're perfect for me because I rarely ever touched the ball unless I was clearing it.

As for the question about which brand has my loyalty...I'd have to say STX. All the stick heads that I own are STX (except "The Rock") and I really like them, especially my X2 Splatter.

Gait

Postby Mavlax25 on Sat Feb 05, 2005 7:03 pm

I have loyalty to Gait heads. I hae a had a few now and have loved them all. I just orderd a Revo pro though because I wanta try something new. I'm gonna see how that goes for me.

I'd say as far as shoulder pads, and elbow pads go, I would say Brine for sure. You have to love the supercrosse gloves, and the ventilator arm gaurds. They do not only look awsome, but they are ver comfortble and are very flexible.

Shafts hads down I would db803 but gait. its so light, and very cheap. You also have a one year warrenty on it. I have owned 2 of them and have loved them both. The first one I had got stolen, that is why I have the second. They are pretty tough I'd say. And if something does happen, you send it in an get a new one. You can't go wrong.

I am officially loyal to warrior. I had stx gloves before and after 4 years I decided to try something new. I got a pair of superfreaks and I absolutely love them. I am sad to of gotten rid of my babies ( stx pro amp) but i feel the superfreaks ease my pain quite well

Your pain will resume once you realize you have to replace your gloves next year.

Yeah that seems to be the problem with Warrior gloves the plams rip out within a season and then you are looking at 130 peices of crap. I actually got some cheap hypno's this year, that are redesigned, and once I got them broke in they are awesome. I would probably go with other gloves but Warrior are the ones that make the maroon that matches our uni's the best. Other than that my loyalty lasts with STX for heads and brine for everything else, especially my Rynoskin should pads which are great.

Which is kinda funny, because I dont like fingers or palms in my gloves, but because of rules you cant cut them out...but I can get away with them being worn out....I wonder it that will happen with my new STX gloves

I would first go for Warrior, then maybe STX but there heads I have bought keep breaking after like two weeks playing with them,it really sucks. so I have gone back to warrior heads.

I would say that STX makes the best heads. I love my X2 and my Bionic. My roommate uses a Proton and loves it more then he does his family.

unfortunately, STX makes crappy shafts, so I look to brine for those. the F series were the best ever (15s, 22s, 55s) but now they have been replaced with some flashy crap.
