Tad bit pathetic that voters didn't know Hope College is playing in Division 3 of the NCAA this year.
Also, a few teams that received votes but didn't make the top 25 are a tad bit... suspect. Call it regional favoritism on both the voters and my part, I guess.

At least they think there are a number of MCLA teams better than a D3 team

Folks,
I apologize for this error. I should have caught this while tabulating the ballots from the Division 2 pollsters. A revised poll was just sent to the media outlets and they will be republished.

No problem Gary. Thanks for being on top of it and getting us a revised poll so quickly.

Re: MCLA Division II - Nike Coach's Poll 1/22/2013
Well its certainly a preseason poll...
48 teams received votes! How does that happen. Here's how you instantly improve the poll. Remove any and all voters who gave votes to Houston, St. Eds, Bethel, UNC Charlotte, Regis, Missouri S&T, Emory and Trinity. Clearly people who voted for any of these teams have little to no understanding of the MCLA.
Another way to improve the poll, if you are going to have 27 pollsters get more than 21 of them to turn in there votes. At this point I would say get rid of the six who couldn't even make the first deadline. What happens when a different 21 pollsters show up next time and a different regional bias kicks in? Speaking of regional bias did only one PNCLL coach/team really want to participate? From what I can tell every division got three spots but only the NW and the SELC could not fill the spots.
Despite all this, the top 25 is not half bad. I mean its basically last years final poll minus the teams that moved on and three new teams plugged in at the bottom. I just get the feeling that I'm in for a long year as a fan...
