Group C looks incredibly diffcult with those powerhouse teams in there. Holland has finally gotten their act together, Italy won the most recent World Cup and France has been strong for several years (even though they are turning over their squad now). Italy-France should be massive in the group game. Holland and France are natural rivals from being so close.

Group B should be fun, anyway. Natural, regional rivals between Austria, Poland, and Germany.....and Croatia should be in the mix.
peace.

And the title is retained with its rightful owner Manchester United who are now 1 title away from tying Liverpool's all time record of 17. It's been a fantastic season for the Premiership as there were plenty of hands changing in the first place spot. Now on to Moscow and the Champions League Final on May 21st. Come ON United get the Double, make Chelski pay!!!

Fulham played out of its mind over the last month and avoids relegation. Plus, I just read there is some weird Fair Play ranking thing for a last UEFA Cup spot and with Man City getting a yellow and red card today, the Cottagers might jump over them for the last spot.

Just a crazy day in southwest London if true.

I dont think Fulham have a chance at the UEFA Cup, thats usually for the second level of the top of each league and the league cup winners. For the EPL, the top 4 teams go to the Champions League and the 5th place team goes to the UEFA Cup. Also going to the UEFA Cup is the winner of the FA Cup, which will be played soon between Portsmouth and Cardiff.

Fulham did beat Portsmouth today, who've been on a losing streak the last few weeks and are slowly losing favorite status against Cardiff. There are questions on whether Cardiff can represent the FA in European competition since they are located in Wales. but Fulham and their 5 Americans are lucky to still be up still.

Reading, 3 Americans, and Derby, 2 Americans and US ownership (i think) were releated.
peace.

This is what I was talking about with the Fair Play rankings.

Fulham could clinch a place in Europe, despite their relegation battle.

Roy Hodgson's team are nineteenth in the Barclays Premier League but seventh in the Fair Play table. The FA expects the best-behaved team to be invited to play in the Uefa Cup next season. Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Everton and Arsenal are above Fulham but are likely to qualify for Europe via other routes. Manchester City are sixth.

I don't understand it all, but I guess Fulham jumped over Man City today after their two bookings.

Does anyone listen to World Soccer Daily? either on Sirius or Podcast. You should look them up on iTunes if you haven't already.

Used to listen to them a lot in the fall. It is a pretty good podcast, just really long, always over 2 hours.

Hella good first half, a few notes:

- Still don't understand the dual yellows on Scholes and Makeleli, they ran into each other going for the ball, oh well, no need for cards

- Man U could be up 3-0 if not for some SICK goal keepin by Cech (best in the world) and if Tevez just touches that cross from Wayner.

- Rio blew it on the goal for Chelsea

- Did I mention Petr Cech is unbelievable?

GO BLUES! (Don't really like them, but it is like rooting for the Red Sox when they are playing the Yankees, wish they both could lose)

and this ref crew is miserable.

There is no love lost with these two teams, but Didier blew it on that move.

Hate to see a game this good come to PK's, but oh well.

Kind of bitter about the end. Really feel bad for John Terry, I would feel much better if it were Cristiano crying on the turf after his stupid stutter step shot that got saved.
