I actually enjoyed reading the story in bed on my cell as I woke up this morning.

The quote from Dottie, the AD, "what may be fun to them isn't necessarily fun to everyone else" is a classic. Are you saying my bum is too hairy?

Then the player Kristoff's quote of "I enjoyed every bit of it" is so true, suspend me, do what you want, it was still fun and will be a great memory to look back on, especially because Carolyn said yes.

My brother is still getting mileage out the story of his lacrosse team streaking of the graduation practice while he was a junior and that was 22 years ago.

I am glad I was not officiating that game if it really happened during the game (or while officials had jurisdiction). I don't think I would have ejected anyone, but it might have been at least a 1:00 NR 13-man down situation. I'm not even sure how to enforce that! Put 10 guys in the box and let the other team have an extra 3 men on the field? :D

So, how many goals could your team score on an empty net in 1:00 in a stop-time game, with the ball awarded at midfield after each goal? You can shoot from midfield if you want--I'm pretty sure your team will be closest if you miss.

Camraderie at its finest. These kids knew they'd getting some sort of trouble. So what. They came together, helped out a team mate, and used their minds creatively. Best of all, the girl said yes. Had she said no, it would have been more tragedy than inspiration.

Cheers!

Maybe I read the article wrong, but i thought it was varsity kids mooning the crowd at a JV game... So, no one who actually was playing did the mooning, though that would have been funny as well.

You have to like any girl who takes her prom invite on a bunch of teen butts.

This is classic and 3 years ago would not have made national news before the Duke event.

The Dukies did not get what they deserved but their actions still cast a bad light on the players of our game.

Haha.. If she said no that's when you start putting them in the box...

This is from Click On Detroit (Local 4).

From this article, Campbell, who was the girl that Wennersten popped the question, said:

Campbell, who accepted the prom invitation by patting the back of the player with the word "yes" written on his posterior, said she was not upset by the way Wennersten popped the question.
