Probably should bring this "issue" up with your conference ref assignor, league director and not a public forum. Most refs arent a big fan of public criticism. I have noticed that refs do "ref" differently in different regions, but its something you have to adapt too.

Think about the last time a ref/player got in the face of a ref and he changed the call??? Never!!!

There are checks and balances, and the MCLA message board happens not to be one of them.

The Arbiter program exists to give feedback on officials. The coach or whoever enters your stats evaluates the officials as well. It's probably better to communicate your concerns through that person, rather than posting here.

The ref telling you to shut up is doing you a favor; the alternative is a flag down for unsportsmanlike conduct. Which would you rather have?

I'll step in for Sonny...
This post does violate a few of the Guidelines - you may want to consider editing. I don't have the rights to do it myself.

Lacrosse Rules and Officiating Forum Guidelines

In order to maintain the decorum of this forum, please observe the stated USLIA.com message board rules and these guidelines when posting in the Lacrosse Rules and Officiating Forum:

1. No references to actual teams, players or officials – If you have a game situation you would like to discuss, please phrase it as Team A and Team B, or A1 checked B2, etc. No specific references to MDIA teams/players/coaches will be allowed!

2. No disparaging comments on officials, assignors, and/or conference administrators – While you have the right to disagree with a call, this forum is not the place to question the competence or judgment of the officials. MDIA head coaches have the ability to rate the game officials (or provide appropriate feedback) through the MDIA conferences and conference assigning authorities.

3. Interpretations will refer to specific rules in the NCAA or NFHS rulebook. Please cite rule numbers and/or page numbers from the appropriate rulebook when posing a question. Without the benefit of seeing your game or having input from the official(s) who made an individual call, it is impossible to render opinions on judgment calls. We will try to establish if a ruling followed proper interpretation, if possible.

4. Any posts that fail to follow these guidelines will be edited or removed at the sole discretion of the moderators or site admins. These guidelines are also subject to change at any time.

We hope to provide a forum where you can receive answers to your rules questions and increase your lacrosse rules knowledge. There are several experienced officials that are happy to lend their input to this forum. We hope you will take advantage of this learning opportunity this season!
