I'm looking forward to seeing the results of both Whitman vs. PLU and Whitman vs. UPS.

SFU v. BYU is the most intriguing match-up this weekend. After last weekend, it is apparent BYU's defense is penetrable and with all the hype Kojima has created around the Clan, it will be interesting to see how they can perform. The Ducks handled Chapman with ease last season, but they were without homie who scored 6 or more against BYU. Is Chapman a completely new team this year? Maybe the hype surrounding them each season is actually coming alive?
BYU 15 SFU 7
**Lets hope for the strength of the league Montana handles Gonzaga as well.

WWU vs CWU has potential to shake up the PNCLL-2. If CWU loses, it will be confirmed that there is no out right leader in the PNCLL-2

Hope is for losers. Fortunately, you will get the chance to see how that match-up shakes out LIVE from Missoula via video broadcast on GrizLAX.com. More info is on the way...

if Whitman or UPS goes undefeated over the weekend then you still don't have a clear cut leader in Div 2, even if CWU beats WWU. I do think in this poll you are starting to see the trend... it seems as though there probably aren't enough OOC games left to make the Div 2 strong nationally (CWU, Whitman, and UPS have a combined 1 OOC game left, according to the PNCLL site and I doubt there are more than 2 OOC games left by anybody against Top 25 teams). This means that the best chance to get two teams into the tournament would be to have one go undefeated and then get upset in the conference tournament. Otherwise, with no teams currently in top ten and one at #15 it doesn't look so good for two teams to get in... all in all I don't think teams should stress too much (the Div 2 poll is pretty awful anyway) and just focus on winning the conference tournament.

SFU has a solid OOC trip this week and, due to weather, this will be SFU's first game. Looks like it will also be Westminsters first game, and then a game against the defending national champion that is coming off two nail-biter losses. Good luck to the Clan this week, this is a great chance to show the pollsters the depth of the PNCLL.
Lot's of D1 conference games this week too. Still really early with a bunch of teams playing their first game(s) but we will start to see some movement that will continue through April.

I hear no talk of the WSU @ U of O game. Does that mean you think its to close to call? Hope the weather is nice down there this weekend, I'm sick of the 30's. See you this weekend Oregon.

I like the Cougs, but a win over Oregon is as likely as Oregon putting SFU in their top friends on myspace.

i'm interested to see how the clan do this weekend, games against the top two teams in both divisions should be a great test, then finishing off what looks like a long three day trip in boise will be tough. i'd be interested to hear travel plans, fly to utah drive thru all the way to boise and fly home??

Both Whitman games vs. UPS and PLU are very interesting this weekend. These could shake up D-2 quite a bit. Also CWU vs. WWU is gonna be a battle. I'm sure WWU will come out hot after the 28 goal outburst against Willamette. CWU is a young squad on the rise in D-2 and coming off their big win against WOU they'll be looking to continue their early season success by knocking off their rivals from Bellingham.

I think that this weekend should will start to sort out the mess of D-2. But it could also just make the mess even bigger. 3 very intriguing match ups this weekend. i would definitely have to say that the game of the week is #15 WWU @ #23 CWU.

after looking at the weekend sched. i don't see WOU playing this weekend? are they OOC? one of two opinions will be decided, one if central wins they will be hands down favorites until they prove otherwise, and or second everyone else will be battling for playoff positions. as it looks right now, an i know the season is still young is WWU,WOU,and CWU, then everyone else.
i think this is premature to assess,i would like to see whitman play a few games and see what they have brewing over there. i do agree though that this weekend should prove to be a good weekend for lacrosse!!!

like I said before, crowning CWU the "team to beat" after this weekend is a bit premature... assuming they even win. The winner of the UPS/Whitman game may also be undefeated and both schools have at least been proven winners in the past.
I'm not trying to be hard on any teams, by the way, I'm just hoping for a good fight... this would be a great season for the days when we played one home and one away against each other (like '05), those made for some killer rematches.
