Wittenberg @ U of M, scrimmage

Michigan wins in overtime, 13-12.
To my eyes, Wittenberg looked stronger than I remember them a couple of years ago. U of M doing some things differently on offense, but I suspect they'll be touched on in a press release after their OSU scrimmage tomorrow.

Pitt handled Wake handily yesterday. It was 10 to 1 half way through the fourth and I'm fairly certain that the game finished with a similar margin.

Wittenberg Men's Lacrosse Standout Selected To
Play For England In 2008 U-19 World Games

Springfield, Ohio — Wittenberg University men's lacrosse standout Matt Lord, class of 2011 from Pickerington, Ohio, has been to England just once in his life. It was so long ago that he doesn't remember much about the trip.

Lord, whose father was born in England, will get a much better world view this year, and he is certain to remember it vividly. Selected to play for England's U-19 National Team after a tryout in Philadelphia last month, Lord will head to the United Kingdom in May to train with the team. The 2008 U-19 World Games are scheduled for July in Canada.

Pitt 3 5 0 3 Final 11

EMU 1 3 3 1 8

In a very physical, very penalty-ridden game, the Panthers outlasted the Eagles in a game that was decided in the last 7 minutes.

With seven minutes to go and the score tied at eight, a Pitt middie was able to find an opening and scored on a shot from the outside.

The Eagles had their chance to answer but were not able to get the ball in the back of the net.

Outstanding performances were turned in by both goalies who made several one-on-one saves. Their efforts were the differences in the game.[/b]

Did anyone go to the IAC that night? What was the sideline chemistry of either team? I heard that Nate Elzinga took the place of the Central coach. Is this true?

Sorry, I forgot what string I was on above. I am curious about facts on Central's situation.
