I'm not gonna say scores, but in my opinion this week in the PNCLL is pretty cut and dry.
Willamette over Pacific
Stanford over Willamette, P.S. Will your a ballzy mother sceduling a game against a D-1 WCLL team that beat OSU two seasons ago.
Oregon over Oregon State.

I'm not sure that your games are overshadowing the Civil War, Will, despite the vast silence here so far about that big DI match-up. Many of us are intensely curious to get "a read" on the Ducks in '08. Oregon will surely be a very good team again, but also a vastly different one from the squad which made it all the way to the national championship round in 2007. Whether they can maintain the national elite status they earned a year ago without those graduating Seniors and without Coach Kerwin is something that may not be truly answered in one game against the Beavers, but may give us all a clue nevertheless. I'm also curious to see how OSU rebounds from their opening loss. I expected a more competitive game, and still think the Beavs will be a solid team in '08. I'm hoping both UW and OSU can represent the PNCLL well down at the Pac-10 tourney at UCLA next week.
But good luck in your OOC trip, Bearcats. Don't beat up my alma mater too badly tonight, and best of luck against the Cardinal. I think you may need some luck to win that game, and I mean no disrespect by saying so.

i might be wrong here dan, but I think Will was referencing the fact that the Bearcat games against UOP and stanford were in your post however the game against SOU was not mentioned, despite the fact that it is on the PNCLL schedule. I don't think that Will has the idea that their games are overshadowing the Ducks v. Beavers. I could be wrong though.

Yes, I did miss that SOU vs PSU game, which is on the master schedule but was not listed on the home page in the "upcoming games" box. Sorry, folks!
I also know less about Portland State than I do about the other DII teams, which means I know next to nothing at all.
If someone who has seen Portland State play and wants to post here with a preview of their game against the Raiders, please do so.

well seeing as i have now played them twice i feel like i could have a little insight into this quandry. PSU has some very solid stick handlers on their team, but as all first year teams find chemistry is a bit of an issue. They have good numbers for a first year club, and i have seen a lot of their guys in the oregon summer league circuit. They have one D-Pole who is from lakeridge who is very solid but he trail checks a little to much, and they definitely have some speed in the mid field, neither score with us was close, so I will be watching for the Southern score with interest.

FINAL SCORE: Oregon over Oregon State 12-4
The Ducks take off in '08. Sounds like a great performance from Blackmore and I'm assuming Swanson, with so many man down situations. Thanks to Brauck for the updates.

Stanford 17
Willamette 3
Still no score reported for last night's WU at UOP game.
PS Great decision we made to cancel the SFU and UW games at Wazzou and Idaho this weekend and re-schedule for April. Snoqualmie Pass has been closed since early Friday morning and has not even reopened tonight yet due to avalanches and heavy snowfall to clear. Neither the Huskies nor the Clansmen nor the refs would have been able to get over to the Palouse this weekend had we even wanted to.

I was wondering about that..I mean, I know overall record doesn't really count, but do they get to count those statistics? Or maybe I'm just splitting hairs here...
Also, we're playing PSU on the 5th of April - do we add this to the online schedule somehow? Or is there a difference between doing an unofficiated scrimmage and having a real, on the schedule, game with a team who is unaffiliated?

From Ashland, OR:
SOU 14
Portland St- 5
Hopefully PSU will join the PNCLL. They have a lot of potential and are a good group of guys. Thanks for coming down to Ashland.
