To the Georgia Lacrosse Community,
It is with deep regret and sorrow that I pass on some very sad news this evening regarding one of our own. On Sunday we learned that Adam Bingham, a senior lacrosse player from Walton High School, passed away. Details surrounding Adam’s death are still a bit unclear at this time but it appears that Adam passed away in his sleep at home Saturday evening or Sunday morning.
Adam was a two year starter at midfield for Walton and was slated to be one of our team captains during his senior season. Lacrosse was a big part of Adam’s life and a sport he enjoyed thoroughly.
We know the over the past couple of years we have lost other players at Pope, Harrison and Milton to name just a few. What I have always loved about this game is that it is a lifestyle sport and the lacrosse community is unlike any other in sport in such a positive way. I know that just as our Walton lacrosse family grieved with and for the teams that have shared similar losses as of late, you all share in our grief today and in that we find comfort.
Please keep Adam’s family, his friends and his teammates in your prayers.
Arrangements for Adam will be as follows;
