CCLA Week #7 (March 16-March 22, 2005)
Note
All Schedules were compiled from laxpower.com and individual team websites. I realize i missed a few games last week as neither of these outlets had complete game information. I Apologize to teams I missed.

Action in the CCLA slows down a bit this week as some teams have finished their break schedules and prepare for big divisional games.
Several B teams also get the season started this week.

3/16 (DivA) Western Michigan @ Central Michigan
3/16 (DivA) West Virginia @ #10 Virginia Tech (SELC)

3/17 (DivB) Alma @ Grand Valley State

3/18 (DivA) Eastern Michigan @ #5 Michigan

3/19 (DivA) #9 Oakland @ Buffalo
3/19 (DivA) Michigan State @ West Virginia
3/19 (DivB) Grand Valley State @ Ball State
3/19 (DivB) Grand Valley State @ Taylor

3/20 (DivA) Eastern Michigan @ Grand Valley State
3/20 (DivA) #9 Oakland @ Pittsburgh
3/20 Eastern Michigan @ Grand Valley State

3/21 Wisconsin-Stevens Point(UMLL) @ Eastern Michigan

Good Luck to all...

CMU/WMU

Postby laxfan25 on Thu Mar 17, 2005 9:08 am

Central Michigan downed WMU 14 - 12 last night in a close, hard-fought game. CMU jumped out to an early lead but Western climed back to only trail 7 -6 at the half. the lead see-sawed most of the second half as neither team was able to gain more than a one-goal edge. CMU moved on top 13 - 12 with about 6 or 7 minutes left. WMU then made a major mistake as a D-man threw a long clearing pass from the endline towards the middle of the field. CMU picked it off and the attackman was all alone with the goalie. He converted, making the final 14 -12.

Reported by zolander:
Under a rainy and hailing game at the Ball State turf:
Grand Valley Scored the first goal of the game but they were no match for the Cards as we rallied to a 22-6 win.
Taylor downed GVSU 14-2 from what I heard from our officials
