Thanks for making my job easier....

Tech-Lindenwood should be a good one.

Also eager to see SMS-Mizzou and SMS-KSU to see where teams stand.

I think the Cornell-NIU game got rescheduled and is not this week.

Dordt-NWC for the battle of Northwest Iowa.

Mizzou 14
SMS 11

I think it was something like that, I'm sure Beckner or Coach Turner will post the correct score.

not that it makes much of a difference, but the dordt vs. northwestern game is on Tuesday March 22, not Sunday

I thought SMS was going to finish up around 3-4 according to the posts earlier in the season?

yes, 14-11 was the score.

We didn't get beat by a better team though. We simply beat ourselves. Another 3rd quarter let-down killed us, and penalties too.

Coach Hawkins did enough game time switching, uniform complaining, not having the field lined correctly at game time and not having a trainer at the game to cause a lot of distraction and frustration.

No excuses when it comes down to it though, we just didn't bring it.

Many thanks to Coach Anderson and the Red Raiders for coming up to STL on their spring break and spending their St. Patrick's Day with us.

It was a fantastic game with quite a few dramatic moments. Offensively, Stuart Shaw and Eric Glass stood out for Tech. Defensively, I was especially impressed with Goalie Zach Kurzweil and Defenseman John Rose.

Our outstanding performers this evening included Midfielder Jimmy Lange (1g, 6a) and Attackman Justin Combs (4g) on offense. Defensively, the whole unit stood up and allowed only two second half goals despite being man-down quite a bit.

Best wishes to the Red Raiders in their games with Wash U and Illinois State.

Troy, how did the Gentry brothers look like for Tech? Haven't heard much about them since I played with them in high school. Joey is a squirely little guy to guard.

Matt:

I don't recall seeing Joey. Ryan Gentry started. I don't have the book with me so I can't remember if he put up any points. They moved Glass to attack at times replacing Gentry. Glass was more of a problem for us.

Excuse #1 - We simply beat ourselves
Excuse #2 - Another 3rd quarter let-down killed us
Excuse #3 - penalties too
Excuse #4 - game time switching
Excuse #5 - uniform complaining
Excuse #6 - not having the field lined correctly at game time
Excuse #7 - not having a trainer at the game

Since your opponent didn't beat you, I'm sure Missouri wishes you had called and said not to bother showing up, we're just going to award you the victory. Who on your team put in the 14 goals for the Tigers? I'm sure they're happy to read that they weren't the better team, although they won by three. In your mind, how much did you win by??

No excuses though - :?
