Minnesota over FSU by 1 in OT (8-7?). 'sota dominated on groundballs in a relatively clean game despite the rain we had all day. FSU never seemed to get into any kind of groove and had two great looks at the goal to start the OT period, one shot missed wide on a diving attempt and the second hit a pipe. 'sota scored the winning goal on a one on one with the keeper after an ill timed slide by the FSU defense. Kevin Paustian did not play due to injury.

NC State vs. Bridgewater State
The game was cold and wet, it rained in Raleigh all day and night. Bridgewater opened up with a quick 2-0 lead, but NC State answered and tied it back up. Halftime score was 4-4 i think, it was a back and forth game until the end of the 3rd quarter when NC State converted almost every clear and by the 4th quarter opened up a 10-6 lead. Bridgewater had trouble on man up towards the end, the shots weren't hitting the cage. Sticks were like butterfly nets from all the rain, and there was no shot accuracy from the outside for either team. Corey Allen played an exceptional game in the goal for NC State. # 14 from Bridgewater scored almost all of their goals, he's a great finisher. Great game all round by both sides, fast and physical.

Illinois plays Georgia Mon and FSU on wed on their spring break trip. We had been trying to schedule a game with Emory on that Tues in the middle, but have had trouble getting in contact with them.

Once again, SELC teams and officials have gone out of their way to make our team feel welcome. I highly recommend travel to the SELC for out of conference games.
Many thanks to Ken Lovic at Georgia Tech, Brendan Barry at Auburn and Bill Harklins at Florida State for hosting Minnesota during our Spring Break trip. We appreciate that you made our team feel welcome and played great games.
Best of luck the rest of the season,
CL

WVA at Virginia Tech
That game was, indeed, cancelled due to the snow. West Virginia played at NC State on Tuesday and lost to the Wolfpack. WVU was short on numbers as several of their key players were in Mexico for spring break. They only had about 15 players total. I have seen them play in the NCLL over the past years and they always travel well and represent their school and the sport with total class.
Hopefully, they will leave the NCLL and join the USLIA.
