Texas Boys High School basketball Class 5A championship

For the guys from Kingwood who play lax, they will be thrilled to pieces knowing that Kingwood defeated DeSoto, 54-52 in the Class 5A championship. I saw the last part of the game where DeSoto's #11 missed the chance to score the basket at the buzzer.

If I remember correctly, it is the second straight year that a team from the Greater Houston area won the 5A title. Last year, it was Milby. Now it is Kingwood.
