It's time to start thinking about Fall Ball and what tournaments everybody is attending. Central Washington University is proud to again hold the 2nd Annual Rodeotown Showdown Lacrosse Tournament in Ellensburg, WA. The tournament committee would like to know if there are any teams that would like to attend. While this does not commit anybody to anything, we do need to know if you are planning to attend or not. Entry fees will be around $350 - $400, depending on referee fees. Responses can either be posted to this thread or e-mailed to norrisk@cwu.edu. Thanks and good luck to everyone this summer.

Not sure how accurate this would be but last year the fees were $350 and I believe that was before the astronomical restructuring for the ref contracts' compensation rate for mileage. I don't know how you guys worked it last year (or if the ref contracts apply here) but if ref's compensations have increased then wouldn't $350-$400 be a low estimate? Just curious. Thanks. Willamette is interested as always. Word.

Got to look at a realistic budget for next year before we can commit, but wsu wants to be there.

Yeah, they did re-work the referee's contract, but this is going to be used as a training session for new referees, so we can afford to pay them less.

That's what I was unsure of, I was thinking I didn't see many of the PNCLL "regulars" out there working games. Glad to know we are using it to train new guys, hopefully some from out East???

Keep us updated on when we need to send in our stuff!

Hello all,

This is a reminder to all of you that CWU will be hosting our Second Annual Rodeo Showdown. The tournament will be held over the weekend of 13 October 2007. We are expecting 8 teams, but hope for 10.

Team Registration will be $400.00 if paid before 15 September 2007. $425.00 if paid after 15 September 2007. A non-refundable $50.00 deposit (that will be applied towards your registration) will reserve your team a space. Several out of state teams have expressed interest.

There will be a 3 game minimum, with a potential of a separate winners and losers bracket depending on the number of teams participating. Games will be two 20 minute halves with a 5 minute half time. In the event of a tie, a “modified Brave Heart” will be played.

Lodging will be offered at discounted rates at local motels/hotels and it is hoped that several restaurants will offer weekend discounts. A pizza party will be held, at a discounted price, at a local restaurant Saturday night for all participating teams and referees to refresh and replenish themselves.

Lastly, please don’t forget that this tournament will also be used to train new referees for the PNCLL. Potential college referees as well as their instructors will call the games. If you have anyone that might be considered a potential referee candidate, please contact our referee assignor Mr. Keith MacFie dalymac@harbornet.com.

Yes, Coach Hart is bringing up a team, presumably comprised of college players and alumni/guests. Knowing Tim, the team will be competitive. Be ready to play!
