Just saw this photo on the new handy dandy LSA web site....
Can anyone shed an light on the history of the trophy? Does the winning LSA team get to keep the trophy for one year (ala the Stanley Cup)?

It goes back to the late 80's from what I remember. It is a miracle it never got destroyed in my home in 2001-2002; now in 2002-2003, LAXC21 ran the show in the house and was not going to let anything happen to that old school trophy!

Ah, but there was at least one championship where it went missing in action... only to be found again in a certain large, public university's Rec Sports storage closet... thank goodness an old school player recognized and rescued it from the designated dumpster pile...

I wouldn't so much call the B Division Trophy a Trophy (especially compared to the A Trophy), it is more of a cup. It stands about 8 to 12 inches high and i haven't seen a picture of it since we won it back in 2004.
While winning the championship in such dominating fashion was one of the greatest thrills of my life the trophy that we were presented with was very underwhelming, so much so that we went and purchased our own.
No great history behind it however.
Can't find a picture either.

Here goes the Case of the Missing Div. B Trophy.
We would need the modern day Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew to solve this case.

I'm sure the consenus would want Magnum to do that work. Perhaps Chuck Norris would be even a better choice.

not the best picture, looking for one that shows it from the front
this isn't the "cup" that John is referring to in his post, as this trophy was created by the LSA Spring of 2006 (though it does include the prior Div B Champions on the side plaque)
and I can quite assure you that the Div B trophy is not missing! It is currently on display in the Southwestern Admission Office where it is helping recruit new players for the next few seasons!
