WALAX.com reports that Joe Kerwin has stepped down as Head Coach of the Ducks to take an assistant coaching position at NCAA DII Notre Dame de Namur. Congrats to Joe, again, for his PNCLL Coach-of-the-Year award and best of luck in your new job!

Any rumors on who will be the new Duck coach? Is Josh Barbour making a dramatic return?

Sorry, somehow missed it! Yet the story remains noteworthy and deserving of its own link here on the PNCLL forum anyway. Joe has set the bar pretty high, having achieved a number of firsts: Defeating two #1 ranked teams on consecutive weeks, earning the Ducks their own (short-lived) #1 national ranking, a great tourney run including the OT semi-final win over CSU, and a two-year, undefeated record in PNCLL play.

Whoever is lucky enough to take over at Oregon will inherit a solid team.
