For more than two decades, discussions about Washington area boys' lacrosse had to start with one school: Landon. The Bears dominated the sport, winning every championship in the area's best league, the Interstate Athletic Conference, from 1981 through 2002.

But in the past two seasons, Landon has been chasing Georgetown Prep for IAC supremacy. This spring, IAC foes St. Albans and St. Stephen's/St. Agnes also have been ranked consistently in The Post's top 10. Coaches say boys' lacrosse parity has arrived, and the IAC is not the only league that is feeling its effects.
