Does A&M have a shot in the first round? How did they beat CSU earlier and can they replicate it against Oregon, BYU or one of the other top teams theyll draw?

we've seen both Oregon and TAMU this year...

i think its an obviously tough task for a&m. But they do have an extremely talented, and very deep team. And of course a good coach.

I think they may suprise some people.

They better pray that Calvin beats Dayton in CCLA finals, Dayton (the #4 team in the country) doesn't have the out of conference games for an at large bid. With UVSC gone, they are number 13 in the country, if Dayton doesn't win they get bumped up in the 12 spot (Dayton although ranked high wouldn't go to the tournament). This would suck for dayton not to make it, but self imposed by not playing the two out of conference games required.

Also, what is interesting about this scenario SU would play Harding in their opening game since Dayton would be out.

Montana state just got beat in the first round, by 4-6 Northern Arizona, will they actually stay in the number 12 spot?

Do you mean at-large bid?

Reported as NAU - 13, Mont St - 10

And I think that is enough to drop Montana St out of the race for an at-large bid. NAU only got a few votes in the polls (9 pts total).

That should move Southwestern up to #12 in the last poll, but...UC-Irvine at #22 got an automatic bid by winning the WCLL. So if Fort Lewis, UNC, or Calvin also do poorly in their conference tournament, I think Southwestern may have a shot.

I can imagine Bill Bowman being on pins and needles until he finds out Sunday if his SU team gets in. I'm sure he is closely watching several MCLA Division B teams to see how they are in their respective conference playoffs.

my bad

Dayton cannot receive an at large bid because they did not play the required two out-of-conference games.

I completely forgot about the WCLL.
