Due to family and work obligations, I will be stepping down as Coach from the team. I announced it to the team this past Sunday at our year end bbq.

I saddens me to see that we had a good team this year, but fell apart towards the end of the season. I've had a great time, and I wish the team, and the rest of the conference good luck this year and future seasons.

My assistant coach is getting restationed to Seattle this June, and things are in place for people to take over in our spots.

I will still be involved with the team when I can be, but will likely not be present at many games or practices. If anyone needs anything from the team, please contact the team officers at jayhawklacrosse@ku.edu. Feel free to contact me if need be and if I can help I will, otherwise I will forward to the team for them to handle the situations.

Thanks,

Eric

I know a lot has been going on in this conference but I just wanted to say that I am sorry to see Hethcoach leave the KU program. He and I have a similar work life that demands a lot out of you, let alone have time for the home and a team. I talked to him a great deal after his announcement, and I wish him and Jen good luck going forward.

In case you all don't know the story, he built a team that I helped restart. His role was major. The team is now a legit established club sport at KU and using all the official fields and what not. I remember going on road trips in like twelve cars hoping everyone got there okay and now they travel in vans...all in all, he did a pretty damn good job. He took a lot, A LOT, of ridicule from friends to take the job, but I think he was better for it. More importantly so was the program. The team has graduated teachers, doctors, engineers, and more since the time he took over, and win or lose we all had fun. From Izzy and Miguel to Nate, Ryan, G, and Jordan to Elder and the rest, thanks.

As the saying goes, he once was lost but now is found. Meaning, once a Wildcat but now will always be a Jayhawk.

Rock Chalk buddy.

And to the team if you read this and need any help with anything give me a buzz.
