Turns out today’s final game of the season between Worcester State College and Western New England College has some playoff implications.
If WNEC wins, seeds are:
1. UMass
2. WNEC
3. Dartmouth
4. Tufts
Therefore, Game 1 on Saturday at 7 PM will be UMass vs.Tufts and Game 2 at 9:30 PM will be WNEC vs. Dartmouth. UMass and WNEC will be the home teams.
If WSC wins, seeds become:
1. UMass
2. Dartmouth
3. WSC
4. Tufts
Therefore, Game 1 on Saturday at 7 PM will still be UMass vs. Tufts and Game 2 at 9:30 PM will be Dartmouth vs. WSC. UMass and Dartmouth will be the home teams.
In summary, this much we know: UMass and Tufts will play at 7 PM on Saturday, Dartmouth will be in the playoffs at a 2 or 3 seed, and the winner of tonight’s game is in the playoffs, the loser of tonight’s game is out.
Good luck to both teams today!

I heard that Tufts' team didn't even show up to play and UMass won by forfeit. Is this correct? If so, are they going to be penalized for missing a playoff game!?!?

Yes, that is true. I wasn't going to announce this until it was decided what penalty will be handed down. But there will defintiely be reprecussions.
