CSU vs CU at INVESCO Field at Mile High. Very interesting game. Just read the press release and it seems like it will be a very good/heated game, especially with the golie situation. Any thoughts?

Also after reading the press release it says that CU lost all its starting defenders, but #3 for CU, nick ferone (sp?) started last year as well as this year and recieved all conference and all american last year. interesting that is not in the press release. CU has a great D and so does CSU. after seeing both teams play a few times this year I dont think the winner of this game will score more than 9/10.

Hmmm. I wrote the release, but didn't have much info on CU's close defensive unit. That would be my mistake. Either way, we are all looking forward to the game.

I'm suprised there is not much discussion on this topic?? It is a rematch of last years champoinship and is probably the most heated rivalry in all of the MCLA. not only that but this game has a great story line to it with CSU's golie tyson engher flip flopping back and forth between schools and now he is back at CSU after starting all last year for the Buffs. I am from colorado so i get to see both these teams play and i personally cant wait for it. any new thoughts? maybe you cant call it a rivalry because CSU has won basically everytime they play but in the past 2 years they have had some great games with CSU only winning each game by no more than 2 or 3, and the champ. game was only 10-9 or something like that.

Last year 2006
Invesco- CSU 9-6
RMLC- CSU 8-7
Big Show- CSU 8-7
The Buffs might be looking to break the trend. No better way to make a run than infront of a few thousand people, should make for a great game!

I have a question for the CSU posters. I know that tradition holds that CSU and CU is THE rivalry in Colorado. However being involved with the BYU/CSU lacrosse rivalry since 97-98, I was wondering who the CSU lacrosse family sees as its most hated rival?

I would say that CSU is easily the Cougars chief rival in lacrosse (probably since the 98 season, I still hate wearing green). If the Utah games were more even that might change. Maybe that is the case with the CSU/CU rivalry. With CU improving so much over the last 2-3 years it has probably heated up the lax rivalry between CSU and CU.....

In terms of lacrosse you are probably right, but in terms of two schools hating eachother in every aspect then this has to be a bigger rivalry. I personally do not know the answer to your question but i do know that whenever those two schools play eachother in anything it is a big deal.

I would have to agree with duffy. I went to CSU for a year and I still hate CU. CSU and CU is a HUGE rivalry....its Colorado version of Texas vs A&M or even on a larger scale of Texas vs. Oaklhoma. These two school hate eachother! This is going to be a great game and I can't wait to talk to my boys at CSU to see how this one went. Go Rams!

Very bold as a coach to be saying you dont like teams (in your league) and want them both to lose...but thanks for at least putting a prediction on the board

It is a shame that for the second year in a row this game is competing with the NLL. The Mammoth have a playoff game at the Pepsi Center on Saturday at 7pm. It would be great if they could get all the lacrosse fans in the area at Mile High for this game.

Prediction CSU by 1. I always say CU has to break the trend and I am always wrong.

I know, it would be nice if the Mammoth would start losing for us because this is really the best weekend to do the event. Too bad, but even last year the atmosphere was great. Advance ticket sales are way up, so we are hoping for a great crowd.
