I am seriously considering heading down to St Charles for the conference playoffs, but I was wondering if there were any moderately cheap yet still nice hotels/ food joints near wherever the field is.
This will be my first trip to St. Charles, so I am pretty unfamiliar with the area.

Red Roof Inn is one exit away and is probably your cheapest bet. I"m sure Jack can give you a list of hotels that we have discounts with.
As far as food, St. Charles is a suburb of St. Louis so food/nice restaraunts is pretty much a nonissue.

You can use this link to save an extra 15% at Red Roof Inn

We always stay at the Drury Inn but they are a few bucks more than the RRI. Drury is the best deal when you figure in amenities. They currently have a special called the e saver rate if you book on line.

Day's Inn-St. Charles...formerly Travelodge
Mention Lindenwood
$59.00 per night includes breakfast.
PM me for food or other details, I would be glad to assist.

for food, Loins Choice might be my favorite thing ever. While at the league meeting in St Louis I became addicted to them

Thought I would also let you know that "Historic Main Street St. Charles" is always good for food and nightlife. The Trailhead Brewery is down there along with various places to go on Fri/Sat nights.
Another place that I would highly suggest is Obee's. It's a soup and sub place 2 seconds from school thats kind of been adopted by our team. I'm pretty sure I haven't been at practice once this year without someone bringing it up... seriously.
