OOC games in New England

This has come up in the poll thread now a few times. Most people claim that if PCLL teams put together a 4 or 5 team grouping of quality teams/games more top competition might consider trips to the northeast.
I would assume that the idea has at least been mentioned before among the PCLL teams. Does anyone know the extent of these kinds of discussions (if they've happened)? Obviously the weather in N.E. really makes it difficult to fit in all the conference games PLUS out of conference invitations... could it be done? Between the 3 boston schools and their fields you could get a few sites going for these games and over a long weekend have a sort of New England invitational tournament type atmosphere (the NEIT if you will).

There was a previous discussion on this:

I think most teams don't get much of a chance to travel after spring break. This past weekend Wake Forest took a trip up here and played 3 games in 3 days. Not many teams would be into that. Stonehill did it during spring break and it is really tough to pull off (especially w/ limited numbers).

That discussion is noted, but it did happen 2 years ago... Is that really the end of it? Just because teams said no then doesnt' mean they would say no now.

Also remember that Missouri, a team constantly in the top-25 for Division A made a trip this year and played 3-4 games. Believe the trip was sucessful.

Missouri and Wake Forest are one thing, but if we could get real top tier teams to come out here for a long weekend (think Michigan, UCSB, CSU) it could be amazing for the PCLL. Even if the PCLL teams lose, it would hopefully plant seeds for something that could happen repeatedly
If we could do something like Michigan does with their invitational, I think that would be ideal. The tough thing would be facilities, because I'm pretty sure that here at BC it would be really tough to get field time for that kind of thing
Does anyone know if something could be possible at NU, UNH, BU, etc?

I don't know much about Wake Forest, but I think Missouri was a big step forward for the conference. As for an invitational, it was something we were actively working on when I was last working for the PCLL. There was an indoor facility in Connecticut that I think we were looking at.

Salem State is looking into something for next year, with NewHaven, Gove City and some other CCLA teams.
Salem has the facilities to hold OOC games: Field-Turf, Lights and a second field being built...

Anybody have any contact information or a website for the place in Connecticut?
