Tragic loss of an Idaho lacrosse player

I would like to ask the lacrosse community to share a moment of silence in memory of David Robert Boss. David was murdered in his apartment in Moscow, ID this past weekend in his last semester before graduating with a degree in history. David grew up in Boise, ID and played midfield at Timberline high school. David was a member of the University of Idaho team that worked their way into the PNCLL.

I was able to meet David a couple of times in the last year. He was interested and enthusiastic about re-joining the UI team and even practiced with us in December. He was a good kid and felt he needed to focus on his studies in order to graduate this spring.

I would like to ask that everyone take at least one moment out of the next practice. We can use this time of silence to send our thoughts and prayers to the Boss family, celebrate the sport he loved, and remember him by revisiting some of our own great memories of this sport.

This is horrible and tragic. Our thoughts will be with the Boss family and with the U of I program this week.

All of the players here in Boise feel for the tragic loss of David Boss, the Boise Native. Many of our players had the privilege to both play with and play against David on the Timberline lacrosse team here in Boise, and all of those moments will not soon be forgotten.

All of us here in Boise send out our prayers to David and the Boss family including the U of I program in hopes that program and family can do great things in these hard times.

Looks like the officials have arrested and charged someone with the killing. Just read about it today in our local paper. Don't know if you need to login in order to read it, but here you go:

Sorry to hear about this tragic loss. As the same is with BSU, many of us at Albertson had the pleasure sharing the field with this talented player. Our prayers are with him and his family in their time of need.
