Was CSU's game against Oregon a fluke?

I see that Oregon has an extremely strong team this year. However, was that first CSU game a fluke? I know CSU played BYU in a close game. BYU easily handled Arizona State. Arizona State won a close match against Oregon. I know this looks like 6 degrees of separation, but was the CSU vs. Oregon game a fluke or was it the Arizona State vs. Oregon game that showed the idea of "any given day"?
Just curious if anyone had any more insight since I haven't been following the league as closely as I used to.

Guess I'll chalk it up to any given day. Good luck to all of the RMLC teams that make it to the big show. It looks like it may be one of the toughest tourneys to date.

from what i've seen the csu team has a couple new kids. i think it just took a game or two for them to get in sync.
first games of the season can be rough too. the intensity and purpose isn't as easy to conjur up.
two years ago we (the u) lost our first two games and it kept us out of the tourney. we just weren't intense enough.
pretty sure csu will make the tourney this year.
i felt like posting cause no one had posted. ;0)

You could give CSU a pass since it was their first game. As the video shows, they were never in the game. Couldn't clear the ball and weren't able to stop Oregon from clearing. They just didn't look ready.

Must've been a wet field or that old school astroturf. CSU couldn't seem to stay on their feet!

that turf is the most difficult stuff in the world to play on. it isn't quite as bad as the old school turf, but isn't a new field turf either. it took me 4 years to figure out what to wear on it and when it rains it gets slick and nothing holds. it is a true home field advantage
