What's up with Ole Miss this year? They played Eckerd and only lost by 2...are they applying for league membership next year?

In my conversations with the Ole' Miss coach in trying to schedule them, they are revitalizing the team. They are playing a mixed schedule between men's club and MCLA teams with the goal of being an MCLA team next year.

Question of GRLC history - I have heard they applied many years ago and were accepted as a member at a fall meeting. They then did not play the spring season. Are they a conference member on probation or would they be a new team entering the conference?

Coach Hood is probably the best one to answer this. As I understand it, they are still a GRLC team (in some sense of the word) but have been removed from the conference as part of the list of current teams. They still owe the GRLC the dues from that year and as such that they are in dept they are unable to join any other conference until they pay off that dept. That is just as I understand it. I joined the EB the year after they tried to enter the conference and could not field a team so this is from putting things together when we discussed punishment the following year (some bylaw thing).

Very nice job Wheaton. Great out-of-conference win for your team and the GRLC.

South Dakota @ Northwestern has been cancelled for Saturday due to a flooded field.
That's our fourth cancelled game this spring. Mother Nature really doesn't want us playing games!

Augustana at Western Illinois is postponed at the moment due to the condition of the fields in Macomb, Il. We are trying to reschedule for this weekend at Augustana.

All these rainouts seem like more reason to push off the Conference Tournament a week this year (due to Nationals pushing back a week). Is there any official word on when the GRLC tournament will be?

I believe that it is being held the original weekend at Lindenwood. I will try to confirm everything with Mosher tomorrow and release information in this forum for everyone.
