Westminster lacrosse team climbs to No. 4 in nation

And coach thinks his 9-1 Griffins deserve higher ranking

Westminster's lacrosse team seems to be in very good hands lately.

On Monday the Division B Griffins will host Division A competitor UC-Davis at 3 p.m. Under the direction of their coach, Mason Goodhand, the program has quietly put together a 9-1 record and a national ranking. The Griffins are ranked fourth in the latest Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association poll. However, Goodhand gives all the credit for the team's quick start to the players. The former ASU assistant coach feels his team's motivation and hard work has helped the young team reach new heights.
