Off topic, but my daughter recieved a freshman recruiting DVD from Utah yesterday (thanks for the thought, but no thank you), called "The Best of U". It has 2 (4 second) lacrosse snipits, featuring none other then dig_plan, dodging some poor soul from C.U. I thought it was a nice touch; maybe they should ask for royalties for the team for the use of dig_plan's image?

Are the Utes playing at Judge because it's a better venue for the OOc games or because they had a hard time getting fields?

my guess is a better field. all their big games used to be at Juan Diego, but now that judge has a nice new turf field that is about 40 minutes closer to campus.

have you seen the u's home field? at least an 8 degree slant from sidline to sidline, with more sand than dirt. and no level ground. it's fun but judge's brand new turf, i'd say, is a tad nicer.

Better than no field at all (which keeps your team from joining the RMLC) :x

Yeah Ed... how's the field situation turning out. Is the school going to allow access, or are you going to find somewhere else that will, or what?

Well, the new "master plan" that they are working on includes a turf field, so they realize that there is a issue, but it also includes a new building on top of the current "soccer" field! They seem to want to keep the "soccer" field as nice as they can for the ground breaking and earth movers! I'm not sure how long it will be until Auraria Campus has turf but currently we are working with local schools to cover a full schedule next year.

Good chance that CSU vs. Chico will be postponed until tomorrow. Nice little rain cell has moved over Fort Collins and the fields will likely be closed on campus. Tomorrow is supposed to be 67 and sunny. Game time likely scheduled for 12:00 noon.
