Final from San Diego

UC San Diego 7
Univ. of Texas 8

Texas looked pretty good, especially on loose balls and unsettled situations. They had some D-men able to throw some real good lookin checks and seem to be pretty solid this year.

UCSD's first half play was the best I've seen them play this year, and gave them a 4-2 halftime lead. Texas adjusted well and came back strong in the second half, going out to an 8-5 lead with less than a minute to play.

Overall the fourth quarter was filled with penalties, but multiple penalties late, both on in game players and the bench, led to UCSD possessions and man up opportunities, upon which they capitalized.

Utah State and St. Mary's was cancelled months ago... the schedule does not reflect those changes.

Some big games coming up for ASU. Time for them to finally make some noise, hopefully the pollsters will be listening.

Tomorrow's game between LMU & UCSB will probably end up being the winner of the LA division and draw the loser of the AZ v. AZ State game in the first round of the WCLL playoffs. A big game for both teams and should be a good one.

CatLax, Chapman has not played either team yet, and is 2-0 in division. Top 2 go to the wcll playoffs, correct?

Chapman is ineligible for the playoffs this season because last year they had a player on the roster who was academically ineligible (don't remember who). So it really is going to come down to LMU and UCSB for the WCLL playoffs. Very unfortunate situation for Chapman, they are now playing the role of spoiler.

From what I hear, Chapman will be fighting the ruling. I don't know too much, but it sounds like there were some pretty unique circumstances. I wouldn't count them out yet.
