RMLC PLAYOFFS INFO.
EFFECTIVE IMMEDAITELY
Our national governing body, the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association, was recently forced to change the dates of the national tournament. The MCLA national tournament will now be played May 15-19 at Pizza Hut Park - Frisco, Texas.
It was decided that in order to keep with the same time frame the RMLC has always had between the conference playoffs and the national variety, this year’s dates would have to be moved back 1 week to match the MCLA change.
The change was decided by a league vote, collected twice by president John Robinette.
Voting members took into consideration the changes that would need to be made by teams, and other conflicts that would arise from this 1-week push. The results agreed that a change was the necessary action to take in order to preserve the strength of the conference on a national level. The general idea is that a 3-week break between the conference and national tournaments is not conducive to national-tournament preparation.

It is my understanding that both Div A semifinals will be played at 7pm, rather than 4pm and 7pm.

That is correct. I'm trying to make sure that the Div A Championship isn't at 7:00 on Saturday as well. Both Div A Semis will take place at 7:00 on Friday according to my schedule.

I heard the Div A Championship will be at 4pm on Saturday.
The two fields for the semis are not adjacent which is very disappointing. I was looking forward to the double-header.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Conference
April 30, 2007 – Utah Valley State College (RMLC Division B) was declared ineligible for post-season competition today by the executives of the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Conference due to eligibility violation.
After an investigation, the RMLC determined that UVSC played an academically ineligible player for at least 4 games during the 2007 regular season.
The RMLC Executive Committee voted to disqualify the UVSC Wolverines from the 2007 RMLC Division B Playoffs. UVSC submitted an appeal which was denied by the RMLC Executive Committee.
The team will also be removed from any future 2007 top 25 poll voting considerations, thus making the team ineligible for the 2007 MCLA National Championships (May 15-19 in Dallas, TX).
The team, in good-standing prior, will be welcome to compete during the 2008 season, under probationary terms set forth by the RMLC Executive Committee, yet eligible for postseason play.

Sure hope the schedule is right and doesn't change, I suspect there are a lot of us who have purchased (non-refundable) tickets to match...

Does anyone know where the fields are on campus (cross streets)? Also, are the fields grass or turf? Thanks in advance for the help.

Does anyone know if the CU recreation center (where the rmlc meeting is supposed to take place) is the same as the student recreation center next to Balch Fieldhouse?
