This was being mentioned in the 2005 All-Star game forum with some interest, so I decided to start a new topic. I know that there is not going to be a PNCLL All Star game this year, but what are the chances of having one vs. the PNCLL Alums? If not this year, perhaps next year? Ideas, thoughts, anything? Thanks.

Since we're putting an alumni team together anyway, why not use the college kids for practice? Also, seniors on the PNCLL All-Star team should think about joining us old men for the Victoria tournament.
Dan - any thoughts on getting this promoted on the PNCLL website?

Contact the tournament organizers first to get dates, cost and other information. Then present this info here, and we can discuss it further. There certainly seems to be enough interest, if judging by postings here is any indication.
If we want to do this, I'd think we could actually send three teams -- an A Division All-Star team, a B Division team and an Alumni team. If not enough of the All-Stars are interested and available, then maybe the two All-Star teams should be combined into one. Cost is the big concern, players likely would all have to be their own way unless we fina an "angel" to sponsor us.
Here's a potential A Div team, based on 2002-04 all-star voting:
Attack Mike Christians SFU
Attack Rick Kladis GU
Attack Tyler Tipton OSU
Midfield Matt Connors UO
Midfield Danny Ernst UO
Midfield Eric Weitz UW
Defense Lachlan MacLean GU
Defense Jeremy Tesar UO
Defense Anthio Yuen SFU
Goal Nate Cordova UO
Reserves: Attack -- M Loomis OSU, J Norbraten SFU, T Schofield UO, E Sonkin UW, J Twining GU
Midfield -- J Coffman UO, K Gares SFU, C Gregg OSU, J Meinard OSU, G Quetin UW, E Steinecker UW
Defense -- K Bass UW, J Cooley UO, N Hoskins SFU
Goal -- N Cordova UO, TBA
Apologies to any deserving player left off, this is off the top of my head. I think this team would be very strong and certainly entertaining to watch.

I wouldn't mind having some specifics to an alumni game. I had the privelage of playing in four all star games (aside from my senior year when I blew out my knee) and i remember some great talent in the league, not to mention having a great time. I think a PNCLL alumni team would be pretty competetive.
