The Oregon field is not very good. It is Nike Nextturf but it is so slippery when the slightest bit of rain falls on it, that footing is next to impossible. I have seen numerous guys with molded cleats slip and slide, same with any time of running shoe. Julian has found something that actually works in his hiking boots. Definately a home field advantage to the Ducks when it rains as they practice all year and have tried so many types of footwear they do not fall as much as the road teams.

Heads up Texas St., Cal and all other teams going to Eugene bring as many types of cleat/shoe as you can find. If it is wet you will be glad you did.

Well come on now. What are the chances that it would ever rain in beautiful, temperate state of Oregon? February? I would bet on sunny skies and mid 70's maybe low 80's.

Ha, that field will tear you up too. Worse than any other field without broken glass I've ever played a sport on.
