Dave Schmitz resigns as Whitman College Lacrosse Coach
Posted: Wed Dec 06, 2006 11:09 pmIt is with great sadness that I announce that Dave Schmitz - one of the founders of the PNCLL and a driving force in our league's growth and success over the past decade - has resigned as the head coach at Whitman College.
Many of you may not be aware, but Coach Schmitz suffered a heart attack a few weeks ago and has made the incredibly difficult decision to step down and focus on his health right now.
As most of you know, Dave is currently our league treasurer and will remain in that position with assistance from his office staff at Whitman College. As many of you know he has also operated as our league scheduler for the past two years. Those duties are being handled by myself, L.A.A. Keith MacFee and League Secretary Marilyn Hoskins.
Whitman College is actively seeking a head coach replacement for Coach Schmitz. If you are interested in the position or have leads on someone who might be interested, please contact Coach Schmitz via email at schmitdf@whitman.edu.
