Spartans host lacrosse clinic
STOCKTON — The Stockton Spartans lacrosse club will hold a Dec. 2 clinic on Saturday, Dec. 2, for youth players of all skill levels at the University of Pacific.
Boys aged 9 to 17 from throughout San Joaquin County who are interested in learning to play "the fastest game on two feet" are encouraged to attend this clinic taught by professional lacrosse player Todd Eichelberger, a former NCAA all-star from Princeton. No experience is required, and loaner gear will be available.
The Stockton Spartans club, now in its third year, is seeking players for its junior and JV teams. The clinic runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Gardemeyer Field, behind Monagan Residence Hall, 811 Brookside Road, Stockton. The $25 fee includes lunch and a shirt. Freebies and awards for participants will be presented.
The clinic, sponsored by Pacific State Bank, features individual instruction, staff demos, group drills and games. Register the day of the event, or pre-register by calling (209) 476-4726. For more information go to www.spartanslacrosse.com.
