I think Chapman won 17-10. They then beat UCSB the next day 11-5

I heard that UCSB played Chapman and LMU this weekend and beat both of them by a good margin. Is this true? Maybe it was Claremont since Chapman is overrated in the pre-season every year.

I would stake a small part of whatever rep I have that they warrant their preseason this year. They were young last year... needless to say they should be older this year.
Preseason trash talk? Really?

I would like to take this time to say that Chapman certainly desrves their ranking and that Team Ravage is clearly overestimated. JAM.

I have always believed that they should have a high ranking. The problem is that one or two players can't win a championship. They had a talented team when Metoyer's name was first being thrown around the message boards. The problem is that they never seem to do anything with it. Will they this year? Maybe, but if history tells us anything, they are going to have to do a little more about those top WCLL teams and underdog OCC teams. Consistency will be a key for Chapman to make the WCLL final four this year, and I have not seen it from them in quite a long time. I have heard a lot of talk, but never seen any results.
Here's The Deal With Chapman

Though Chapman returns their two leading goal scorers along with a young team made of talented sophomores and freshman, no one has given any thought to one of the most highly recruited players Chapman has ever had. Jason Goldhelmet, who was highly recruited by Virginia, Towson, and UMass, decided to stay close to home, so that he could help contribute to the powerhouse Chapman has been rumored to become. Goldhelmet has been rumored to break the neck of opposing goalies with his change of direction. Personally I've never seen the man without three supermodels, two on his arms and one shining his shoes after every step... get ready, you can't miss him, he'll have the same kind of helmet as his last name...

Nice to see we already have a replacement for Justin Combs.
