LSA vs. Non-Conference in 2007

LSA'ers..................

Just wanted to see before schedules come out who has locked in out of conference home games, or setup trips anywhere in the country.

I know that Texas State will host Santa Clara, University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, and Iowa State. The Bobcats will travel out of state this year to Oregon to compete against the best the PCNL has to offer.

Chris,

SFA has OU, Arkansas, and New Mexico. OU is LSA but I think they are going to move up.

So are you coaching @TSU now?

Ask your AD how his Nerf football skills are these days.

Baylor is hosting Arkansas, Wisconsin-Steven's Point and Nevada. We will also be travelling to Kansas City for the Big XII Tournament (There we will play three games against non-LSA opponents....which consist of Colorado, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas St, Missouri, etc---we do not know who we will play at this time). In 2007-2008 we are planning to go to the Big XII Tournament and have one other big trip.

Well, once a coach, always a coach. Yes, I am coaching TxState, and hoping I will be able to balance the spring schedule with my work schedule. I am trying my best.

Go Bobcat Lax!

When do we find out who we play at Big XII? I know OU's wanting to play a couple of the LSA teams there if possible

Not sure, I wish we knew. I have sent a couple emails to the Kansas Coach to see if he could enlighten me and I haven't heard anything yet. We already have all of our LSA Big XII teams scheduled. I am hoping that we can play three non-LSA teams such as either Colorado/Missouri Iowa St and either Kansas or Kansas St. I will contact them again and let you know if I hear anything.

I'm not the expert but it was my understanding one of the main purposes of the event was to get several OOC games out of the way at one convenient location.

I believe that is the basic premise. I just started coaching at Baylor so I am not too familiar with it.

I just want to say Park is no longer an Aggie. Sorry...you can turn in your ring at Alumni Weekend.

Under section 182B of the Aggie Code of Conduct, it states: "No Aggie shall coach for the opposition." Furthermore it also states that: "No Aggie shall ever write Go Bobcat Lax!"

Violation of the code is punishable by death or disownment...whatever I decide.

Since seeing the Doc Hall Foundation signature undeneath, we might reverse our decision.

The guys running the tourney this year just sent out a mass email. If you didn't get one for whatever reason (contacts are probably out of date), contact Eric Hethcoat, EHethcoat@lsapa.com .

Here's the email

Gentlemen,

Both myself and Kyle Hawkins from Missouri have taken it upon ourselves to organize this years Big XII Shootout. We have secured a location in Kansas City and are reviewing all of the fine print details with the facility. Heritage Park Football Complex is where the event will take place. For those who would like to see it, please go to http://www.jcprd.com/parks_facilities/m ... e_park.cfm for a map of the overall facility. The complex is located in the SW corner of the KC metropolitan area in Olathe, KS. We expect that this will be a great venue for this tournament and the facility is very excited about hosting this event. The fields we will play on will be grass and lights will be available for us Friday night but only up until a certain time, forcing us to a play a little earlier.

I will be working with area Chamber of Commerces to secure hotel information, restaurant information, etc and will let everyone know of that as soon as possible.

I have attached a preliminary schedule for this year's shootout. I've tried to get OOC games for every team and provide reasonable matchups for everyone.

FYI for all, only OSU has indicated at this time they cannot participate.

Please review the 2 proposed schedules and confirm with me if you've seen it and which you are acceptable of, or what problems you may have with them, so we can get this resolved and permanantly scheduled.

Additionally, please review the contact information sheet and return it to me with any updates as needed from your teams.

Should you have any questions, please contact me immediately.

I realize any out of town game for LSU is a road trip. Nice to see you guys making even further road trips and promoting LSA to other parts of the country.
