Just curious how many teams plan on participating in fall tournaments and how many don't really do anything until spring?
For those playing in the fall, how many seriously practice and how many just show up for the tournaments and don't really practice until spring?
Who is playing fall ball?

At Baylor, we will be practicing 3 days a week. We also already have a Fall game set up against SFA and are attending the Texas A&M Fall Classic. Sometime this Fall we may scrimmage the Aggies as well.

OU's practicing 3 times a week, and then have a couple tournaments and scrimmages lined up before the season gets underway

Texas Tech began team scrimmages earlier this week and will progress to regular 3 times a week practices next week. So far we have one tournament and two exhibition match-ups set up for the fall season.

UNT
Practices for the regulars start next week.
Practices for the alumni team started a month ago. The alumni are currently trying to trim its roster to 35. They have hired a strength and conditioning coach and watch practice and game film twice a week. They have closed practices with no media allowed. Coupled with some pickle juice they are really taking the October 21 meeting against the regulars totally seriously.

Karl, you're right about all those things but you forgot a couple of details. Not only have we been practicing, but we've been having 2-a-days. We've been wearing sweats under our pads to heat things up a little. And as if we needed any more motivation, we've hired Tony Robbins to keep our heads in the right place. Now if we can only get Garrett Peek to un-retire and hire a private investigator to track down Jay Schuhardt....

So I got a message from the lone captain remaining from last years team (the rest of us graduated) and it looks like UTA will not have a team this year.

Sorry I didnt see this thread earlier. Just got back from the Rockies with the rest of the UNT Alumni team where we have been training for the past 6 days. Who would of ever thought that the human body could run a little over 1000 miles in such a short time at an altitude of 6000+ feet. Anywho, time to go take my 15,000 practices shots, and practice 60 of my 329 dodges I have masters.
I wish my grass was emo so it would cut itself.

If this is true, it sure does not leave much of an LSA-B division. Looking at the league meeting minutes I see AC, STE, SWN, TU, and TCU are the only teams left. OU and TCU are D-I schools so that just leaves 4 true B teams. Anybody know about Tulane? I heard OSU was going to play but aren't they D-1 also?
In any event, losing a program that looked pretty organized for the last 5 years is really going to put the hurt on B.

Wow coach you forgot about your own team which would make it 5 true teams, come on now. It is said to here about UTA all the best guys and hopefully we will see yall next year. SFA has practice 3 days a week and is playing Baylor this fall, two mens club teams in Houston and going to the A&M tourney. See yall next weekend in Georgetown.

Josh,
Both Coach Still & I have been calling and e-mailing you all week. You better get in touch with me if you want to have any coaches at all.
If you can post here, you have the time to give us a call or e-mail about the information we need for THE BUDGET PRESENTATION that you are going to have to do in 10 DAYS!
I didn't leave out SFA, you won't be playing without a budget.

This really sucks, but it is necessary for us to get back to where we once were. Since the creation of the LSA B, we were the only team to make the playoffs every single year, won the 2004 Championship, played in the 2005 championship. Sometimes there is no way to get rid of cancer. Sometimes things just have to die to end the suffering and the pain of the person with cancer. Last year was agonizing. Every practice we had to try and rally the guys to a team attitude, but they didn't care.
UTA will be back, but it will take a few years.
