Lacrosse in Spokane

Postby Peter Lewicki on Thu Feb 17, 2005 5:27 pm

yeah, it does not exist at the men's club level...which is why I'm posting this.

There are a few of us living here (Chris Shogan, Matt Montag, James Derrickson, myself, and a few others) who would like to explore the possibility.

If you know of anyone with lacrosse experience who is living in Spokane, Coeur D'alene...or anywhere nearby who might be interested please let me know...or have them contact me at peterdlewicki@yahoo.com

This is probably a long-term goal (too late to put a team together this year), potentially something that if there is enough interest might be possible for next year.

Thanks,

Peter Lewicki

To add to what Peter said, if you're interested in coaching, doing clinics, or helping spur the growth of lacrosse in Spokane, feel free to contact me via email: cshogan@gonzaga.edu or visit this website: www.gonzagapreplax.com for more info.

The greater Los Angeles area could use a couple of motivated students of the game such as yourselves to help spur some interest. Down here, if you didn't go to a D-1 school, then any sort of meaningful club lacrosse is like a faraway dream.

Maybe one day in the not-so-distant future, we can have Spo-Compton's club team come down to play the real Compton's club team  .
