Posted: Sun Apr 30, 2006 10:17 amAs far as I can remember there has only been one championship where the regular season winner also won in the championship. That was UNH vs UCONN in '02. Every other year the regular season loser has taken the championship. With NU taking the regular seaon win by one goal I'd say UNH will come out firing this time. I'd say UNH by 3+.

They aren't able to attend because of finances and finals so the PCLL is giving up their AQ.

Only if they informed the EB before the playoffs that they would not be able to attend. In that case, the loser of the championship team (in this case, New Haven) would be declared the conference champion and receive the AQ.

Why would they have been allowed to compete in the PCLL playoffs if they knew they couldn't/wouldn't go to Texas if they won the whole thing? Doesn't seem fair to the other PCLL Div. B teams...
