IUP 7, Dayton 12

We played really well I thought despite 2 starters out for the game... Dayton is an excellent team, great hosts, and I expect them to make some major noise in the conference tourney and nationals.

A tough, weather delayed game played under a threatening night overcast sky in rainy, wet and muddy field conditions. UD defense shutoff the top midfielders of the IUP offense. UD focused on ball control, and patience. The IUP Goalie was aggressive, coming out of the cage often to stop a one-on-one UD shot. IUP played great in the transition...Final: Dayton 12, IUP 7

Ferris State 10, Taylor 11 OT

7-2 at halftime in favor of taylor. ferris battled back to be up two goals with two minutes left in the game, but bad penalties allowed taylor to tie the game. taylor took the opening faceoff in OT for the game winner. Ferris was missing star attackman which led to a struggling offense.
great exciting game though.

I watched the game. I thought the refs did an exceptional job - good control of the game, and the players got to play lacrosse and decide the game.

Oakland (MI) vs Colorado State (Apr 08, 2006 at CSU)
SCORE BY PERIOD 1 2 3 4 Tot
-------------------------------------
Oakland (MI)........ 0 3 1 1 - 5
Colorado State...... 1 3 4 6 - 14

The score was 4-3 at the half.
After the 3rd it was 8-4 CSU.
In the 4th CSU used the extent of their team, while the Oakland team began to fatigue due to the THIN mountain air.

Any word on the Calvin/Grand Valley game?

With our season on the line, missing a couple attackmen, the Calvin team put together a coach pleasing win:

Calvin 9, Grand Valley 7

A game that was close till the end, Grand Valley scored the first 2 or 3 before Calvin got on the board with the first half ending with a 1 goal advantage for Calvin. My records show the 3rd only had one goal by Calvin with each team scoring 3 in the final quarter.

While Calvin has ever been known as a hard hitting team, the admittedly hard hitting GVSU did suffer 2 apparent concussions. Hope those guys are recovering well, our prayers go out to them.
