very highly rated marine biology(?) school or something to the effect. absolutely beautifuly campus right on the beach. I would recommend all conference teams always play eckerd @ eckerd. Their field is literally an errant shot away from sunbathers and the gulf of mehico.

I heard University of Tampa also had a large amount of guys from up north. Do they have a team as well?
Eckerd was definitely a surprise...great to get a new team that is that experienced and seems pretty organized. I'm looking forward to see more teams added from FL that are of their caliber....

there are quite a few college teams functioning down here; palm beach atlantic, university of miami, u tampa, embry riddle (perhaps as many as 5 that i cannot name off the top of my head). They all play in Division 2 of the Florida Lacrosse League. A lot are planning on jumping to the SELC in coming years. Palm Beach Atlantic might be the only one who is ready organization-wise. Geography-wise they are screwed.

Eckerd has a high percentage of kids from the north in general but also an unusually high percentage of private school graduates. private schools in the North are lax powerhouses
