Insane amounts of saves
I was taking a look through some of the box scores in the B division and noticed the insane amount of saves and shots that have been recorded. 23 shots in one quarter by a team. Really? 53 shots by a team in one game with 32 saves being made? Seems a little ridiculous.

Take into account that some teams give goalies the greatest game of their life, i.e. playing wall ball with the goalie's chest. I should know.
Teamwork.. Exactly what every team needs.

I agree. I think a few teams don't actually count saves but rather estimate at the end of the game, or try to give their guy 66-75% regardless. It is nice to make your goalie look good. I think you guys at Biola are pretty honest about saves. I make sure to double check the number of saves before they are posted for Oxy scores. Despite the enormous number of saves posted by some teams, you can generally tell which goalies are of true quality, it goes beyond sheer number of saves. The quality of the saves, successful clears, and the togetherness of the defense are markers of truly good goalies. This said, I also think WCLL B has some outstanding keepers, even if they don't save 75% every game.
